Continually Seek The Lord

I need to search for the Lord and continually seek Him.  I need to make sure Jesus is my first priority in my life.

Trust The Lord

 

Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord will lack no good thing.

Trusting the Lord means you will lack no good thing.  I must trust the Lord and He will take care of me.

Put on the Full Armor of God

 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.

I must put on the full armor of God and stay in His word.  It will help me resist the Devil.  The armor of God will help me stand firm and follow Jesus.

Speak Words That Please God and Meditate On His Word

 

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.

I need to say words that will please God and meditate on things that please Him.  It is how I will be a good testimony of Jesus to other people.

Be Still and Know God

I take time out of my day to be quiet and focus on God.  It's good to pray and listen to worship music but sometimes you just need to be quiet and listen to God.

Love God and Keep His Decrees

 

For I command you this day to love the Lord your God and to keep his commands, decrees, and regulations by walking in his ways. If you do this, you will live and multiply, and the Lord your God will bless you and the land you are about to enter and occupy.

God wants me to love him, not just say, "I love God," or "I love Jesus", but I need to do what he says and follow Him with all my heart, soul, and strength.  I need to walk in His ways if I want to go to Heaven.  God will bless me if I obey Him and His Word.

I must be a good example of what it means to love God and keep His commandments.
