God Gives Us Everthing We Need to Live a Godly Life

 

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.

I need to rely on God's divine power to live a Godly life.  I didn't live the most Godly life this week but God will help me live to be a better example of a Godly life.  I have to rely on God to help me live a Godly life and He has given me everything I need to live a Godly life.  

I need to know God better by reading His word and praying to him to help me live a Godly life.

Give All Your Worries and Cares to God

 

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.

1 Peter 5:7 NLT

God cares about me so I should give my worries to him.  Whether it's worrying about my eye or my health or other things in my life, God wants me to give Him my worries.

Use My Gifts To Help Others And Glorify God

 

Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen.

1 Peter 4:11 NLT

I must use the gifts God gave me to help the people around me in my life to bring glory to God through Jesus.  I am doing things to help people to glorify God and not myself.

Worship Christ As Lord of my Life

 

Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.

I must put Christ first in my life and worship Him.  I must be ready to explain it to the unbelievers when they want to know about the hope Christ gives me in my life.  When I worship Christ and live for him, it will show in how I live my life.

Sympathize and Love Others

 

Finally, all of you should be of one mind. Sympathize with each other. Love each other as brothers and sisters. Be tenderhearted, and keep a humble attitude.

I need to sympathize with others and love them.  I need to be tenderhearted and keep a humble attitude.

Live An Honorable Life

It is God’s will that your honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against you. For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil.

1 Peter 2:15‭-‬16 NLT

I need to live an honorable life and not let my freedom become an excuse to do evil.  Living an honorable life will silence ignorant people who will make false accusations against me.

I am God's Own Possession

 

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

1 Peter 2:9 NLT

I have to remember that I'm God's possession and show other people the goodness of God through how I live.
