Produce Good Things From a Treasury of a Good Heart

 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

I want to have a good treasury that produces good things that come from a good heart. I want to say good words that flow from my heart.

God's Word Lives In My Heart

 I have written to you who are God’s children because you know the Father. I have written to you who are mature in the faith because you know Christ, who existed from the beginning. God's word lives in my heart and I've been reading his word and learning to apply it to my life.  I haven't been the best example of living for him this week but I'm still applying his word to my life and trying to stay closer to Him.

Loving Him When I Haven't Seen Him

You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with a glorious, inexpressible joy.

Loving Jesus is hard because I haven't seen Him, but trusting him gives me joy that I can't explain to people.  But it is a wonderful joy to have knowing that I know Jesus.

Let the Spirit Renew My Thoughts and Attitudes

 Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy.

I must renew my thoughts and attitude.  I must put on m my new nature and live the way Jesus wants me to live.

Always Be Joyful and Never Stop Praying

 

Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

Always be joyful and always talk to God about my problems.  This is what he wants for me.  So I shouldn't forget to be joyful and pray to God for His will to be done in my life.

I must live in a way that pleases God.  God taught me how to live through His Word and I should be encouraged to live how He wants me to live.

I need to love people and let my love for people grow because it's the love of Jesus in me that lets me love other people.
