How to Dispute YouTube Content ID over Wrongful WMG Claim to your Video

If you have any questions,please PM me!

Here's a "How To" guide on WMG YouTube Content I.D. disputes and how to successfully dispute a video that WMG wrongfully claims is theirs.

Some Tips:
1. Make sure your audio is NOT owned by WMG before disputing a Content I.D. Claim. The Content I.D. system is imperfect and sometimes wrongfully claims videos that don't belong to WMG.
2. DO NOT give these reasons your video should be put back up:
* I bought the song.
* Everyone else is using this song.
* I gave credit to the artist.
Those reasons aren't good enough to get your video restored.

3. Only file a dispute if you are 100% SURE your song isn't owned by WMG. Look up WMG's artists on the internet to make sure the song you used isn't on WMG's label.

4. DO NOT dispute your videos willy nilly, filing a false dispute can penalize your account.

I have a good faith belief that the material was disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification, and that I am not intentionally abusing this dispute process.

5. You have to give them your full name, so make sure you've got proof to back up your claim before filing it.

Hope this video is helpful.
